Hello Wish Dishers! We are The Stir coming to you from Atlanta, GA. We are a blues driven psychedelic hard rock band made up of three dudes, Andrew Evans (guitar/vocals), McClain Hendon (drums), and JB Watson (bass).
We have all known each other for a pretty good while but have just recently started playing music together. We are working on recording two songs called “Nightshift” and “Legitimate” at Madison Studios which we are hoping to get pressed to 7″ vinyl.
But in the mean time we have recently released our very first single entitled “Where You’re Wrong” that is available on Spotify and iTunes for everyone’s enjoyment!
This song was recorded at a home studio in a beautiful forested part of Lawrenceville, GA belonging to Ned Lane, who also produced the track. Our singer Andrew was working in a pizza shop at the time and was angered by a coworker over a weird confrontation. This irritation brought him to thinking about the world and how weird the journey of life is.
Anger can make you question many many things that nobody really has an answer to. The music has kind of an Eastern sounding vibe to it as Andrew is very intrigued by Ravi Shankar and George Harrison. Mix peaceful Eastern music with some angry rock and roll and you get something bright and dark, and fast and slow and just a medley of small experiences. There is a perspective in the song that if you listen, makes you step out of your own viewpoint and makes you try to see from a different angle. It is as if you took a huge step back from everything, just really zoomed out to where you could see the whole picture. And the picture is anything.
We painted our own picture so it could be painted over and over again by our listeners’ own beautifully unique minds. We hope everyone enjoys! Thanks for chatting!
