You grew up with it, you hear it everyday, you witness it, and you are a part of it: storytelling. As people we use storytelling to express, to feel, to react, and to describe. It’s expression through word of mouth, but what about beyond just written word and oral translation? What about the expression through extraordinary means beyond just words? Allow us to explain.
The Wish Dish was created to connect people through storytelling. The Wish Dish allows people to express their feelings, life, experiences, and so much more with people all over the globe. You visit The Wish Dish to be influenced, moved, and expressive.
As a writer, you gain response and feedback from your readers. You directly hear about and see the impact your stories make on others’ lives. Being a part of The Wish Dish is being a part of a movement, a movement to express stories that impact others, a movement to change how the world sees adversity and hardship, a movement to draw attention to the meaningful.
Being a part of The Wish Dish is being able to see the impacts and be a part of the stories. As a platform, we envision an interactive world where people share life-stories, personally and professionally, with others as means of expression.
So, why put boundaries on an incredible means of communicating? We won’t.
The next phase of The Wish Dish is simple: expansion. We plan to multiply your forms of expression. Do you manipulate your feelings onto canvas, paper, even walls? Do you express your inner emotions lyrically, photographically or through film? Do you create emotions through hands-on building? Or do you amplify thoughts with a basis of influencing others? Whether you do one or all of the above, The Wish Dish is for everyone.
The Wish Dish is adding music, photography, video and art so that all people can join our interactive expression.
With all these features including the popular written storytelling, you will be able to express yourself as you always have. While also adding these new dishes will progress expression, allow for users to explore, learn and create beyond the average dish. Artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers, and photographers are invited to The Wish Dish. You’re invited to express yourself to the world.
We value our readers, expressers, and team for what we do: storytelling. The reason for this expansion is based on the clear fact that you matter. Your voice, your thoughts, your creations matter and deserve to be shared. Our growth as a platforms depends on the various voices of our contributors.
Opening up this platform to all forms of expression allows not only for us to see above and beyond but it allows us to get to know our users beyond one single form of expression. These additions will allow you to explore with your own page, a page that allows you to have your own profile to display your expressions and stories. With this profile, you are able to link your social networks to gather more readers and to impact more people. This addition will allow for my connection between our team, our users, our artists, our writers, our musicians, our videographers, and our voices.
Judith Thurman once said, “Every dreamer knows that it is entirely possible to be homesick for a place you’ve never been to, perhaps more homesick than for familiar ground.” The Wish Dish won’t allow you to feel this homesick from where you have not been. The Wish Dish wants you to experience every form of expression but more so become a part of it.
