Writing my story From Miami to Jamaica to Georgia for the The Wish Dish was a fun experience. Sometimes I write things on my medium and push it to Twitter and hope for the best as far as a response from my peers is concerned. Writing for The Wish Dish, I got way more engagements from people than I’ve gotten on my personal blog. I had friends texting and calling me talking about how cool my story was and how they could relate to having moved around a lot, too! One friend was amazed that I remembered so much from different homes because his experience moving around had become a blur.

Writing for the Wish Dish is a one-of-a-kind experience. It stands out from other platforms in that readers are already there so you don’t feel like you’re talking into a void. There was no way I would have received 2,000 reads on my own sliver of the internet. Moreover, you’re part of this network of truly amazing people. Read any single story, and you’re bound to be blown away with heart warming honesty. Write a story, and you’ll start to feel like you are all of the stories.
